My 18 months old has decided she loves to eat oranges but she is really messy at it.
Most of her clothes now have orange stains on them I tried vanish but didn't work.
I know I can leave the white clothes in the sun, but where is the sun
What about her coloured clothes, what is your recommendation?

THe sun, or, in fact just daylight will sort them. Thankfully you really don't need actual sun!

I has this with DD's favourite dress.
All I did was wash it three times, didnt dry it, just sprayed a stain remover on in between washes. It then came out.
Bloody tomato and orange and the worst stain offenders...

Agree with direct sunlight - we did this one year in Italy when dd had an orange lolly . Can you hang in front of a window ? Sunny today here for once !

I was almost going to pay the same message! DD2 (17 months) has also taken a liking to satsumas and tomatoes, and her tops are all stained with orange juice too. Thanks for the tips!

I was sceptical about sunlight getting stains out, but it does work. Dd1 got bolognese stains on a new top her granny had given her (my MIL - nuff said) and tried every stain remover over under the sun (no pun intended) but it wouldn't shift.
Last ditch attempt following advice on here was to put on the line in the sun (was last year on that one sunny day we had) and bingo, they disappeared. Bloody amazing.

Eucalyptus oil is great for getting rid of stains like orange and tomato (and lots of others, too). You can get it from the chemist. Apply it directly to the stain (before washing/wetting), then just bung the item in the wash.
Wash stained items by themselves if you don't like the smell of eucalyptus, as it will transfer to other clothes in the wash.
